My Windows Update has *successfully installed* KB937287 (TWICE) in my "Windows History," yet it keeps showing up in my taskbar as an "Available Update. for all future updates," including Windows Vista SP-1. Your answer makes perfect sense to me, and it is what I had suspected but was not sure about. The math seems to indicate that 4Gb of ram plus 1Gb of PCI address space If you run a 64bit kernel you will see it all, or you can use a kernel configured for 64GB memory space. Relevant bootup messages include these.
